Alexis Kleiman
Alexis Kleiman is the current Board Chair of the EFN. She began volunteering with EFN in 2013 through the Prom Project Niagara planning committee and has been an advocate for the Foundation ever since. Passionate about the Foundation’s mandate, she joined the Board of Directors in 2021 after years as an event volunteer and committee member. Upon joining, she was instrumental in reviving Prom Project Niagara after a two-year pandemic induced hiatus, an initiative dear to her heart. Alexis believes that education is a tool for empowerment and enables opportunity. In collaboration with her fellow board members, she lends her skills to the Board to maximize the ways that EFN can reduce barriers to student success and provide students with access to the enriching opportunities that school life offers. Outside of the EFN, Alexis is a member of DSBN’s Information Technology Services team, and an active community member. For her positive contributions through volunteerism, she has been recognized with Women in Business Achievement Awards in 2018 and 2022 in the Community Spirit and Community Impact Categories and a Niagara 40U40 Business Achievement Award in 2021. Some of her other active volunteer engagements include NEXTNiagara, YWCA of Niagara Region and the City of St.Catharines Clean City Task Force. If you don’t run into her volunteering at one of our events, you may run into her enjoying Niagara’s beautiful natural outdoor spaces or a local shop with her family.
